Giulia Marvaso is a clinician working as a Radiation Oncologist at the IEO Istituto Europeo di Oncologia IRCCS (Milan, Italy) since September 2015. In March 2020 she also obtained a position as Researcher at the Department of Oncology and Hemato-Oncology at the University of Milan (Milan, Italy). In November 2020 she achieved the National Scientific Qualification for Associate Professor in the field of Radiation Oncology. She is actively involved in clinical, educational and research activities. Specifically, her main accomplishments include:
1. CLINICAL ACTIVITIES - Her major clinical interests include management of urological and head and neck malignancies, oligometastatic disease, palliative care, radiomics and artificial intelligence.
2. RESEARCH ACTIVITIES - Since 2015, when she was awarded with a AIRC research fellowship at IEO, under the mentorship of Prof. Barbara A. Jereczek-Fossa, she has been involved in several clinical protocols and research activities and has developed the ability to adopt a scientific and analytic method in approaching the daily clinical and research activities. Since then, she served as a co-investigator in three AIRC grants (Investigator Grants 13218, 14300, 22159) and as co-principal investigator in one Ricerca Finalizzata project, all dealing with different hot topics in the management of prostate cancer. She is daily involved in several clinical and methodological research investigations, either as group leader or principal investigator, in the fields of cancer radiotherapy, radiomics, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
